Aimee + Minh - San Diego

Dear Aimee + Minh,

There is so much to say about you two. You are an inspiration for all who have the pleasure of knowing you. Your love for everyone is obvious in how you live your lives. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your day!  It was a pure joy to capture the special bond between you two and your family members.  We wish you the best as you begin your new adventure.

Cheers,

Aaron and Amy

Thanks to Cheri of the beautiful Mount Woodson for putting the day together so well!

This was the first wedding we had the pleasure of shooting a female as one of the groom’s attendants. So rad!

Aimee and Minh’s families and culture are very important to them. Half of their ceremony was Buddhist and half was Jewish. Here is the Ketubah they signed, which Minh painted himself!

Fine Art triptych photo box mounts!!!

Hey Everyone we have a super awesome new product available for our clients. AHS is introducing the fine art triptych and diptych wood mount wall pieces.  Amy and I are super excited about these things!! I love clean lines and modern design and these mounts really give that feel.  They are such a great alternative to the matted frame and make your images really feel like art hanging on your wall. The “Box Mount”  has its bracing flush with the edge of the image, creating a box look. The box is 7/8” deep.  The side edges are finished with a durable, bonded accent material in black. Can be ordered in Triptych ( 3 separate pieces displayed together ) or Diptych ( 2 separate pieces displayed together) or just one killer piece. Here are a couple mock ups to show you them in all their coolness!

This is an awesome example of what you can do with these things. Totally custom and original!

Rachel + Matt!!

Dear Rachel + Matt,

You guys made us feel so welcome.  Thanks for braving the spiders in the trees and rockin the lens.  Your laid back attitude made shooting such a pleasure. The day couldn’t have turn out more awesome! Great couple, great guests, great vendors.  IN-N-OUT you were delicious , Miss Lily your flowers were amazing!  It was our honor being a part of your special day! Have fun in Hawaii!

#80!

One of my favorite pastimes is heading up to my grandma’s house with all my family. Aaron and I just got back from celebrating grandma’s 80th birthday with her and it was a blast. I never get sick of family bonfires and learning Grandma’s latest card games!

My grandma cracks me up. She is always doing silly things for the camera.

David and Jen!

Amy and I just got back from Nipomo!  It was our grandmas 80th birthday! We had a big family blow out to celebrate the occasion.  Our dad makes the best Santa Maria style BBQ … It was so good. While we were there we shot an engagement session for our cousin David and his fiance Jen.   We walked around on my grandma’s property. Amy and I have always wanted to shoot down in the trees where our old forts and paintball course once stood. Good times!

John + Amber - Camarillo

I (Amy) have to give a shout out to my husband Matt for sending Amber and John our way. John and Matt work together and since I first met Amber and John the 4 of us have gotten to hang out a lot which has been a blast. I have fallen in love with these two as well as their families who I had the privilege of meeting at their rehearsal dinner. Amber’s sister and Dad told me they religiously stalk our blog so that put them on my favorite people list right away ;) Amber’s sister even got a little teary eyed when she asked me about Timber. Amber comes from a lab loving family as well so they get triple awesome points for that too…..Anyway, when Aaron and I showed up it was like meeting up with old friends. It was a super fun wedding and John and Amber rocked the camera! Thanks to everyone at Bella Victorian Vineyard for being awesome!

Southern Wedding Blog Feature…

It seems Jeff and Ashley’s wedding is just too fabulous to be going away anytime soon.  Ashley’s awesome handmade details caught the attention of Southern Wedding Magazine, and we were thrilled when they asked us to share a few images for their blog. Happy Monday!

Gretchen + Dale!

When we shot Gretchen and Dale’s engagement session we couldn’t stop laughing and knew their wedding at  Coto De Caza Country Club was going to be a blast. Their personalities shine and their love for each other even more. They aren’t afraid to be goofy and have fun which we love!  Gretchen and Dale, it is people like you that make us love what we do!  Thank you for letting us tell your story and have fun in Jamaica!

Timber

I have some sad news today. We will not be bringing Timber home to join our family. Matt and I just flew back into town tonight from Vegas and though we weren’t supposed to pick Timber up until Saturday, Matt’s day off, we missed her so as soon as our plane landed we hopped in the car and drove out to Perris to pick her up. Upon arriving we learned that despite 2 vaccinations Timber got a very bad virus and her fate was not looking too good. The breeder didn’t feel comfortable giving her to us and we made the difficult decision to leave her with the breeder and hope for the best. I guess it wasn’t meant to be :( Needless to say I am sad. We went to Vegas to celebrate Matt’s birthday (today) and we were looking forward to ending the evening with our new puppy. I am just trying to remember that everything happens for a reason…..

Golf and Life…

So by the looks of it Tue was one of the most insane days ever. Super fun surf, Super insane philly cheese steak, and a round of golf with the boys!  Somehow my golf game decided to abandon me. I sometimes like to pretend it was at one time with me, but we all know I’m lying.  It seems every time I play I learn some important lesson about life. This weeks lesson I was learning about the journey. Instead of thinking about my final score I should have enjoyed every hole. I just want to win so bad Arrrrrrrrg! Sometimes in life we are always thinking of what’s coming next and forget about enjoying everyday for what it is.  Life is fragile so enjoy every minute of it.  Here’s a shot Gabriel grabbed of us. Check out his blog for more images of the day. Cheers!

P.S. If any pros help my game, I’ll buy you a philly cheese steak. :)
